For better understanding of video poker learn the most frequent terms that can appear in the game.
Ace-High - any hand with an ace.
Ace Full - full house hand with a pair and three aces.
Bankroll - the whole amount of money the player can afford to play with.

High Card - one of the hand cards that has the highest value.
Inside Straight - the hand comprising four cards of straight but without inside one needed to form the straight hand.
Jacks or Better - the form of video poker where every gambler must have the combination of two jacks or better to win.
Kicker - single card in the hand of the best rank.
Knave - the second name of a jack card.
Low Pay Machine - video poker machine providing bad payoffs.
One-Gap - the second name of Inside Straight hand.
Outside Straight - video poker hand which contains four cards in sequence without outside one that is to form the straight.
Pair - the hand with two cards of one rank.
Pat Hand - good hand which doesn't need to discard the cards so that all cards are kept.
Pocket Rockets - the hand which contains two aces.
Power Poker - the form of video poker game in which several hands are dealt simultaneously.
Progressive Video Poker - the variation of video poker offering the accumulating jackpot.
Rainbow - the hand which contains four or three cards of different suit.
Royal Flush - best winning hand consisting of a ace, king, queen, jack and ten of one suit.
Run - the second name of a straight hand.
Set - one more word for three of a kind.
Straight - winning hand that comprises any five cards of different suit in sequence.
Straight Flush - winning hand which is the straight of any five cards of one suit.
Three Flush - the hand consisting of three cards of one suit.
Three of a Kind - winning hand with three cards of one rank.
